The management of Gofta needs the involvement of the government to enable the smooth running of the affairs of the Society. By this, we mean the government involvement by way of encouraging the farmers with agric loan to boost the effort they are putting in to make food available to all

We want our government to emulate their counterpart in some other country of the sub-Saharan in the area of coming to the aid of zealous farmers in the area of loan or farming materials. What the goftans want to make clear to the government is that they should be proud having such an organized group who are ready to stand behind the government in order to make food available to all in the state and the country in general. Even for export.

If the Malaysians can succeed through palm oil which they were able to develop to be their means of income for the country today; Thailand having rice as the means of income; why Nigeria can’t rely on cassava as their means of income for this country, instead of capitalizing on crude oil

On this ground; the Gofta farmers call on the government in all level to wake up from their slumber and take charge of their responsibility of making food available to its citizenry. Gofta is ready to assist in the area of manpower and technologies to be used for producing enough food for the people.

If both parties (Gofta farmers/government) play their role appropriately, there will come to be enough grain in the land
